We have a budget, not a huge one, but one. We don't want to be too far from the city--2 hours at the most. We started looking on various real estate sites, and ventured forth after weeks of not leaving the apartment, to see a property in our budget.
John and I met in Manhattan in February 2000. We raised our son in a 4th floor walk-up in Hell's Kitchen and lived there for 17 years. Lincoln is 14 now and once we learned where he was going to go to high school, we moved to Washington Heights. Now, with the pandemic, we are all in the apartment most of the time. We have long wanted to get a place in the country and it seems that this is the time to start looking. This is our compendium blog of our process.
